This project centres on creating a serene parents’ retreat designed for relaxation and intimate moments.
Client Brief
The key features include a dedicated record room and a sauna, essential elements for unwinding and escape. The space invites couples to enjoy date nights or extended stays, with cosy moments by a dual-sided fireplace positioned between the living room and alfresco area. The large bedroom is thoughtfully designed with a slatted feature wall and two concealed doors that lead seamlessly into a s spacious walk-in-robe, enhancing both privacy and functionality.

The finished retreat is warm, inviting and beautifully grounded — a space that blends personality with everyday practicality. The sunken lounge, statement entry and curated finishes now work together to create an atmosphere of comfort and calm. The addition of a two-way fireplace, visible from both inside and out, adds a striking architectural feature while enhancing the sense of relaxation and connection between spaces.
